The PRU commitment to education resulted in the development of the Clinical Aspects of Protein Assays (CAPA) meetings which started in 1986.  The launch of the Handbook of Clinical Immunochemistry coincided with the first CAPA meeting.  Subsequently the Handbook of Autoimmunity was first published at the same time as the CAPA meeting in 1999.

Members of the PRU staff are regularly invited as external speakers to a variety of educational events.  For further details please contact the Sheffield PRU.

We also provide teaching for The University of Sheffield Medical School and The University of Manchester Clinical Science MSc course.

The laboratory is accredited for training purposes with both the IBMS and ACB.
